My work is a series of surreal images using drawings of buses that I have created using Illustrator, and my own digital photography. My aim is to show the difference between the transport network in London, and the transport network in Manchester in terms of the size of it, and how certain sections are duplicated.
The surreal images depict my idea of the future of travel and what it could look like. With technology constantly developing, it could be that buses one day, fly or sail!
My artist influence was Roland Penrose, who has uses different colours based on places in the world. I applied this to my work by using different colours of the lines of the transport network lines for the background. I have also been inspired by Tebe Interesno, who uses different tones in their “Flying train" image, and an old train to show the potential future.
