This was influenced from a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture park. I used the coloured mirrored tiles Buddha statue in the park to get the colours and main shapes for my character's costume. I also investigated Egyptian costumes as the buddha was shiny and it reminded me of jewellery worn by gods and Pharaohs. I hand drew this using a template first. Then I used traditional pens ,and marker pens to colour u this idea.
What is my advice for anyone joining the course?
Practice on characters takes time and you must put a lot of hours in to get better at your skills. If you have the passion for games art then this will be fun to you. It is also very rewarding at the end.
