My intention for this film was to recreate a scene from the story of 'Call Me by Your Name' as best as I could using the resources I had. I wanted to explore the different camera angles used and I really liked the wide shots that then pan to the characters. My inspiration alongside the film itself was photographer Alexey Titarenko and his technique of motion blur, creating an experience for the audience.
What have I learnt from this course?
During my course I have learnt how different camera settings can affect the outcome of an image. I have also learned Photoshop skills that I will continue to use in the future. Furthermore, I have learned some useful skills in the photography studio.
What is my advice for anyone joining the course? The advice I would give to someone starting my course is to practice as much as you can. Try and do photoshoots in your own time, experiment with different techniques and research extra practitioners to refine your knowledge and understanding. This is something I am going to try and work on in my second year.
From September I will be progressing on to Level 3 Photography Year 2.
