As I am progressing onto Level 3 Photography I chose to experiment and develop techniques and skills in this area for my FMP.
This is an experiment looking at adjusting vibrance and saturation. I used a software editing app called Pixlr. It was created during lockdown and the trees and nature is a comfort to everyone, no matter how they see the world.
What have I learnt from this course?
During my course this year, I have developed new skills I learnt last year on Level 1. In Photography, I have learnt how you can use different camera settings to make a photo look a certain way. I have also learnt a little bit more about how to use aperture, shutter speed and ISO. In addition, I have learnt more about Photoshop and ways that I can use it to manipulate my work. Finally, I have learnt new drawing and painting techniques.
What is my advice for anyone joining the course?
The one piece of advice that I would give to someone starting my course is to be open-minded. A lot of the time your initial idea will not be the final thing you produce. You have to develop something and redraft it to make it constantly better.
