Hannah Hulme

Level 3 - Year 1 - Fine Art

This piece is a hand embroidery design focused around autism. While everyone with autism is different, I find commonalities like the sensory touch and colour can reflect someone’s mood/emotion and simple shape like the pattern piece to represent autism. My intentions for this was to educate my audience and myself on what autism is as there is a lack of understanding of what autism is. By exploring this theme of autism, I would be able to highlight the difficulties of coping with this disorder as everyone is affected in different ways and a different impact on their everyday lives, which makes many people.

What have I learnt from this course?

Skills I have gained throughout my course is to enhance good time management, stay on track and I have used my journal to make a list of actions I had to complete to make sure all my work is up to date and ask my tutor and peers for advice on my work. I will ensure to continue to use this in the future.

What is my advice for anyone joining the course?

My advice for anyone one who is starting my course is to keep track of all your assignments to stay organised.
