These designs were samples and responses I made during the first stages of my FMP. I wanted to look at emotions. It was my intention to produce a mixed media piece; painting, illustration, print and then also to edit it digitally. I have learnt that all materials can link and that used together they can be very creative.
The first image, ‘Hidden in plain sight’ shows that often we cannot tell if a person is suffering with anxiety and depression, but that it affects their day to day life. The second piece is looking at other emotions such as angst and pining. I used the fictional illness, Hanahaki. My intention for this was to show how mental illness takes a toll on a person.
