Here I have experimented with a screen printing and double exposure effect in Photoshop. I have also included typography to promote Oldham from then and now. Certain areas are black and white to represent Oldham, then and the colour imagery is Oldham, now.
What have I learnt from this course?
During my course this year, I have learnt the basics of Photography. I have learnt how you can use different camera settings to make a photo look a certain way. I have also learnt a little bit more about how to use aperture, shutter speed and ISO. In addition, I have learnt more about Photoshop and ways that I can use it to manipulate my work. Finally, I have learnt different techniques and types of Photography. The things that I have learnt I will continue to use as I progress with Photography.
What is my advice for anyone joining the course?
The one piece of advice that I would give to someone starting my course is to be open-minded. A lot of the time your initial idea will not be the final thing you produce. Also, when you get a brief, you might not like what you are being asked to do but majority of the time you think of a way that you can make the project enjoyable.
From September I will be progressing on to Level 3 Photography Year 2.
